GRAVHOUNDS Generator and Pipeline Power Guide

Learn how GRAVHOUNDS pipelines carry power, when to add a Generator as your base grows, and how to protect turrets and restore a broken connection.

01

Plan Power Alongside Your Turrets

Power travels through the Pipeline network in GRAVHOUNDS, which also provides places to deploy defenses and production structures. Include Generators in your expansion plan as you add turret coverage, and restore a working connected route before relying on defenses farther from the Collector.

02

What Each Part of the Network Does

EquipmentPurpose and Placement
Pipeline networkDistributes power and provides deployment locations. It also moves resources and serves as a fast route for returning or reinforcing.
GeneratorA buildable part of the base's power infrastructure. Consider its place in the network as you expand defenses and production farther across the map.
FabricatorProduces Build Kits. Place it on a valid connected build node so you can begin preparing and expanding the Collector's defenses.
TurretProvides defensive fire while you move or gather materials. Position it at an available build point where it can protect the Collector or the objective you need to defend.
Grav BeamHandles Pipeline connectors, mined resources and Build Kits. Use it to move the pieces needed to establish or extend your operation.
Mining LaserBreaks resources free and repairs damaged defensive structures. Keep maintenance in your routine after attacks.
03

Build Out From the Collector

  1. Start at the Collector's Pipeline connector. Interact with it using the Grav Beam, extend the Pipeline and confirm placement. Wait for the connected build node to become available before trying to place your Fabricator.
  2. Place the Fabricator on the connected node. Move it into the valid position in placement mode, let it snap into place and confirm the build. Holding it beside the Pipeline does not complete the placement.
  3. Gather and deliver the resources needed for construction. Break material free with the Mining Laser, move it with the Grav Beam, and feed it into the Collector or onto a connected Pipeline. Successful delivery provides build funds for defenses.
  4. Buy a Turret Build Kit from the Fabricator, pick it up with the Grav Beam and place it at an available build point. Give the Collector useful protection before stretching your attention toward distant resource deposits.
  5. As you extend turret coverage, review the power infrastructure supporting that expansion and include Generator placement in the plan. Keep the Fabricator and distant defenses connected through a working route. Make power and route protection part of the same decision as placing more guns.
04

When to Make Room for a Generator

Use expansion as your prompt to review power. When your next turret placement pushes the defense farther from the Collector, think about the connected infrastructure that will support it. Generators belong in that planning alongside the Pipeline and Fabricator, rather than being an afterthought once the base is already under pressure.

Base your next construction choice on the problem in front of you. An exposed approach needs defensive attention, while a broken route needs its connection restored before you rely on distant structures. Review the whole path when expanding so that a new placement contributes to a working base.

05

Protect the Route and the Mission Objective

Treat exposed Pipeline sections as part of your defense. The network carries power, supports structures and gives the crew a fast route for reinforcement or escape. Plan coverage along the route you actually need, keeping access to damaged infrastructure in mind.

Use Drone View when enemy movement is announced to see which side needs help. It provides an overhead view with nearby detected enemies marked in red. Support the threatened area instead of chasing a distant group while your existing defenses take damage.

A Fuel Pump mission requires protection beyond the Collector. Prepare its Pipeline connection, place turrets to cover the Pump and its approaches, and check the Collector's defenses before activating the transfer. In co-op, arrange for someone to respond at the Collector while other players protect the Pump.

06

Recover After a Break or Damaged Defense

  1. Identify the threatened structure and the route serving it. Pause optional expansion while you deal with the break. Keep the Collector and the structure named in your mission objective at the center of the recovery plan.
  2. Restore a working connected path before relying on defenses farther from the Collector. Check the route back through the network rather than looking only at the turret beside you. Reassess the distant defense once its connection is restored.
  3. Repair damaged defensive structures with the Mining Laser. Return to the affected turret, aim at it and use the repair interaction. Give maintenance attention to the defenses protecting the current objective.
  4. Use the interval after a wave to repair, gather resources and prepare the next defensive improvement. The Early Access update increased the gaps between later waves to allow more time for this work. In co-op, make sure the team knows who is handling repairs.
07

Keep the Network Useful Through Extraction

Before starting Launch Prep, check that nearby turrets are operational and repair structures needing attention. Launch Prep includes another defense period while the Collector prepares to leave. Once boarding is announced, return to the Collector instead of spending the remaining time extending the base or collecting unnecessary materials.
