Start Your Shift and Deliver Titanium
Use the Holo Table aboard the ship to begin your first shift, then connect the Collector's Pipeline and place a Fabricator on its build node. Mine the marked Titanium with the Mining Laser, pick it up with the Grav Beam, and deliver it into the Collector's processor port or onto a connected Pipeline.
Begin at the Holo Table and Connect the Pipeline
Your opening job is to establish a working base around the Collector. The tutorial introduces its tools and objectives in sequence, so follow the active instruction before moving ahead. Getting the Pipeline connected gives you the building position needed for the Fabricator.
- Report to the Holo Table after the opening sequence to begin your first shift and reach the Collector introduction.
- Approach the Collector's Pipeline connector to reach the starting point for your base connection.
- Use the Grav Beam on the connector to begin the Pipeline interaction.
- Extend the Pipeline as instructed to position the connection for placement.
- Confirm the Pipeline placement so the tutorial registers the connection and makes its build node available.
Place the Fabricator on Its Build Node
The Fabricator produces Build Kits for your base. Its placement depends on an active node connected to the Pipeline. Aim for the highlighted node itself; setting the building beside the pipe can leave placement unavailable.
- Enter Fabricator placement mode to begin positioning the building.
- Move the Fabricator over the highlighted Build Node until it snaps into position.
- Confirm the snapped placement to complete the assembly objective and establish your Build Kit production point.
If the objective stays unchanged, check that the Pipeline connection was confirmed. Then check that its node is active and the Fabricator is aligned with it. Holding the kit in placement mode does not finish construction; the final confirmation matters.
Mine Titanium and Feed the Collector
The Resource Run asks you to mine Titanium and deliver it to the Collector. Locate the resource indicator on your HUD before setting off. Look around the surrounding view as well as the compass if the deposit marker is difficult to spot.
- Follow the marked Titanium deposit on your HUD to reach the material required by the objective.
- Use the Mining Laser on the deposit to break the resource material free.
- Pick up the loose material with the Grav Beam so you can transport it.
- Carry the material toward the Collector to line up a direct delivery.
- Feed the material into the Collector's processor port to put it through the collection system.
An accessible connected Pipeline provides another delivery route. Place the mined material onto it and the transport system carries it back to the Collector. This saves you carrying each piece all the way back, while successful delivery provides build funds for defenses.
Fix Titanium Deliveries That Are Not Counting
Mining and delivery are separate actions, so a depleted deposit does not by itself complete the delivery task. Check where your loose pieces landed: material thrown toward the Collector can miss its processor or the Pipeline. Move closer and reposition a missed piece with the Grav Beam, watching it enter the collection system. If the marker has disappeared, check the objective indicator and your last deposit area before mining unrelated materials.
Build Your First Turret Near the Collector
Once deliveries have earned build funds, return to the Fabricator. Your immediate defense target is the Collector as enemies attack the landing zone. Choose a build position that lets the Turret protect it.
- Interact with the Fabricator to begin obtaining your defensive equipment.
- Purchase the prompted Turret Build Kit to obtain the kit needed for construction.
- Pick up the kit with the Grav Beam so you can position it for building.
- Switch to placement mode to prepare the Turret for an available build point.
- Place the Turret on an available build point covering the Collector so it begins contributing to the defense.
Find Incoming Enemies and Repair Your Turret
Switch to Drone View when the tutorial announces enemy movement. Its overhead view marks nearby detected enemies in red, helping you identify the threatened side of your base. Support defenses facing the attack and use breaks between waves to repair damaged structures or gather resources.
- Return to a damaged Turret so you can perform its repair interaction.
- Equip the Mining Laser, which also repairs damaged defensive structures.
- Use the repair interaction while aiming at the Turret to restore it before the next attack.
Prepare Your Defenses Before Launch Prep
Begin Launch Prep after completing the required resource and defense objectives, with nearby Turrets operational and necessary repairs finished. Activating it starts another defense period while the Collector prepares to leave. Keep your attention on protecting the Collector throughout the final attack.
- Return to the Collector to reach the launch preparation controls.
- Locate a Launch Prep terminal so you can initiate the departure sequence.
- Activate Launch Prep to start the Collector's preparation and the remaining defense period.
- Defend the Collector while its engines warm up, continuing until the game calls you back for liftoff.
Board the Collector Before It Leaves
When launch readiness is announced, return immediately and get aboard the Collector before liftoff. Boarding means getting aboard and remaining there until departure; staying outside to fight or build leaves you outside while the countdown continues. Leave extra resource gathering and additional Turret placement alone once the departure call arrives. Successful extraction takes you back to the ship.
